MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

To assist the designated business division with all Human Resources related matters.

RELATIONSHIPS AND PERSONAL ACTIVITIES:

Maintenance of relationship between HR Head Office and the designated business division.

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS:

Manage all employment documentation e.g. new starters, terminations, etc.
Manage and maintain all the necessary documentation for DRC / CCMA cases
Assist relevant branch management with discipline and grievance processes
Liaise with payroll department regarding all necessary employment processes e.g. new starters, terminations, disciplinary hearing outcomes, update on salary packages – provident fund and medical aid, etc.
Drafting letters of appointment and other general employment documentation e.g. certificates of service, etc.
Regular maintenance of the HR system e.g. updating of job titles, checking that employee data is accurate, etc.
Month end reports are done and submitted before cut off date. These include: staff complement report, branch job title list, labour dispute report and variance report, etc.
Ensuring the relevant branch performance management appraisal s and goals are up to date and consistently maintained
Ensure the entire performance management process is completed within designated branches
Employment equity is consistently maintained and continuously provide updates to the relevant branches
Assist with all necessary functions related to the recruitment process
Ensure that the relevant checks (ITC, criminal, references, etc.) have been done and received for new starters in specified branches
Management and administration of staff loans
Regular branch visits and building of relationships with branch management
Facilitation of learnership programmes in relevant branches and maintenance of all employee processes that fall under the programme
Ensure HR practices and company policies are adhered to according to legislation requirements
Other necessary ad hoc HR related duties

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Grade 12 with Human resources diploma or related HR degree
Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, Power point and MS outlook
SAGE People system knowledge is a huge plus
Excellent numerical skills
Highly motivated, energetic, self starter who has the ability to be proactive
Able to operate independently
Ability to work well under pressure
Be a team player
Has excellent planning, organising and controlling skills coupled with a persuasive ability
Ability to build trust and rapport with employees and managers
A highly confident individual with sound judgment and decisiveness together with s high level of integrity
Accuracy and ability to pay attention to detail
