Hunger is a devastating epidemic that has affected much of Africa. It has caused thousands of people to die each year. Hunger has been one of the toughest problems to solve in Africa. People in countries much like America often take having food for granted. Hunger, a vital issue in Africa, is often forgotten.
I have decided to embark on a walking expedition through Africa to raise funds for children in communities that face extreme poverty. This walk is not only to raise funds but also to document the living conditions that some people have to endure. For centuries many have tried to help but it has not been enough, more has to be done and in order to achieve this everyone has to put in a hand.
Hunger is not only an African issue but it is a global epidemic. One step at a time I want to raise awareness about World hunger and how to combat it. My first project being Walk-Africa.
I will start the walk from South Africa and my final destination being North of Africa. To be able to accomplish all this I will need funds for Food and other essential items such as travelling gear, and boarding fare. The Walk-Africa project will commence on the 15 of December 2016 to the 15 of January 2017. This is a one man trip and I plan on raising as much funds as I can. I will spend my December holidays giving back as much as I can to those who are not as fortunate as I am.
Donations can be in any form: Camping Gear, Food items, Bus tickets
