Blood Speaks Stage Production - Sand du Plessis Theatre
Blood Speaks is a stage production produced for the whole family by Creare Training Centre in Bloemfontein, South Africa. It was performed at the Sand du Plessis Theatre in 2015 with great success and has also been performed at many other venues in South Africa in 2015 by a touring group.
In 2016 this production will be performed at the Sand Du Plessis Theatre - on the 7th, 8th and 9th of April.
The purpose of Blood Speaks is to communicate a theme of reconciliation and forgiveness and make the statement:
"The wrong interpretation of the past can destroy lives, today and tomorrow."
In 2013, it was débuted at Oranje Meisies Skool, and in 2014 performed at Jim Fouche High School in Bloemfontein. On each occasion, the audience turnout for these productions exceeded the size of the venue. In 2015, Blood Speaks exceeded the scale of its previous performances with the April holiday show in the Sand Du Plessis Theatre making full use of the professional facilities and services that PACOFS provides.
In previous productions, children and adults were encouraged to be trained and fulfill different roles in the production: some as dancers, mimes, actors, stage support or singing in the choir – and the 2016 production of Blood Speaks at the Sand Du Plessis theatre will be no different.
In 2015 Blood Speaks involved almost 400 volunteers as part of this production and in 2016 we hope that more than double that amount will be involved.
